SÃO PAULO, BRAZIL – AUGUST 7, 2025 Police officers chased three men on motorcycles who were suspects in multiple street thefts. In the Paraisópolis community, on África do Sul street, one of them was found hiding. A police officer tried to arrest him and started struggling with him. At that moment, the suspect pulled out gun and shot him in the neck at close range.
The officer was incredibly lucky that the bullet caused only a minor injury. After a short while, he was able to stand up and call for help. Meanwhile, the suspect fled the scene.
