RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL Man from the poor neighborhood of Nova Holanda went to the wealthy beachfront district Leblon to steal and commit robberies. When he attacked a random passerby, a police officer noticed the incident and did not hesitate to use his service weapon against him. He suffered serious gunshot wounds and had to be hospitalized.
