NADIMO, ITURI, DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO Islamic radicals from the terrorist organization Allied Democratic Forces (ADF), a local offshoot of ISIS, attacked the village of Nadimo. They left death and burned houses.
The ADF considers the local Christians to be its arch enemies and the aim of such attacks is to create fear and drive the inhabitants out of the area. They usually target areas rich in natural resources.
The African offshoots of ISIS are not shy of committing even greater massacres than ISIS original. This is due to the poor education of the people in these areas, who many times cannot even read and write. Such people are then much easier to radicalise.
All videos and content published on this platform related to ISIS are in no way intended as a promotion of terrorism or this organization. We strongly condemn all forms of terrorism and extremist activities, including those associated with ISIS.
ISIS does not represent Islam. Islam is a religion of peace and compassion, whose values and teachings have nothing to do with the violent acts committed by this organization. Our goal is to inform and educate, not to spread hatred or support violence.
