PICH CHENDA, CAMBODIA – APRIL 25, 2018 Seng Saroeun, 37, was a heavy drinker who lived in poverty and spent all her money on alcohol. On that fateful day, she asked her 18 year old daughter Rim Theary for money for food. But she did not believe her and did not give her any money because she was afraid that her mother would buy alcohol with the money. When Rim then went to the bathroom, her mother hanged herself. It was probably just an attempt to arouse pity so that her daughter would give her money. Unfortunately, she actually managed to kill herself.
