ACAILANDIA, MARANHÃO, BRAZIL – JULY 18, 2026 Tragic shooting occurred in the morning in the Vila Ildemar neighborhood. The victim was a man identified as Erick Almeida, who was at a local bar at the time of the attack.
According to available information, Erick was sitting with several other people when an armed man arrived at the establishment on a motorcycle. The attacker was wearing a helmet, approached the victim, and fired several shots at him without warning. Erick suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
The entire attack was captured by a security camera. After the shooting, the perpetrator got back on the motorcycle and fled the scene, while the other people in the bar desperately tried to hide.
The case is currently still under police investigation. The attacker’s identity and motive remain unknown.
