DIEGO MARTIN, TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO – FEBRUARY 22, 2026 Man identified as 43-year-old Curtis ‘Bird’ Pierre became a murder victim in a food zone near the Grand Bazaar Mall. He was just returning from the ‘Last Jam’ Carnival event when he stopped for pizza. When he walked out of the pizzeria, he was attacked by two hitmen who literally shot his head to pieces with an assault rifle and a pistol.

Terrified residents of the area refused to speak with reporters for fear of gang retaliation. The case is still under police investigation. Neither the motive for the shooting nor the identity of the killers is known yet.
