MANAUS, BRAZIL – MAY 12, 2020 The 22-year-old finalist of the Miss Amazonas 2019 beauty pageant, Kimberly Mota, full name Kimberly Karen Mota, was found murdered in the hotel room of her (ex) boyfriend, 31-year-old Rafael Fernandes, full name Rafael Fernandes Rodrigues. There were several stab wounds on her body. Two in the neck and two in the chest. The reason for the murder was supposed to be her boyfriend’s jealous reaction when Kimberly decided to end their relationship with him.

Leaving the dead woman lying in the room with the fan on, Rafael tried to flee the country to Venezuela. However, he was apprehended by the Brazilian military and convicted of murder.
