TLALNEPANTLA DE BAZ, MEXICO In the metropolitan area of Mexico City, the dead body of a young woman was found dumped by the roadside. A subsequent police investigation confirmed that she had been raped and strangled to death by hand. After committing the act, the attacker posthumously dressed her in pants.
Although the area is known for violence connected to drug trafficking, police in this case are also working with the theory that a serial killer is operating in the area. Just a few weeks before the discovery, another woman was found dead in exactly the same place, only about 160 feet (50 meters) away. She had a similar age, the same style of clothing, and the same modus operandi. This is very typical of serial killers.
