According to information from the scene, the rival criminal group Terceiro Comando Puro (TCP) is preparing to retake control of the area. Both organizations are among Brazil’s drug factions competing for territorial control and the local drug trade. Their rivalry contributes to armed clashes and violence in some parts of the country.
