RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL An 18-year-old teenager was assaulted by her 19-year-old ex-boyfriend. He threw hot water on her and caused severe burns to her arm, face and chest.
She was taken to Albert Schweitzer Municipal Hospital in the Realengo neighborhood where the incident took place. Although her condition has been stabilised, she is likely to suffer permanent effects in the form of scarred skin.
