Car plows into crowd in Iran

MASHHAD, RAZAVI KHORASAN PROVINCE, IRAN – SEPTEMBER 1, 2026 Tragic accident occurred on Vakil-Abad Boulevard in Iran. According to police, the driver of a Hyundai was traveling at high speed, first colliding with another vehicle and then losing control of the car. The vehicle subsequently struck people gathered along the road. Four people were killed and another 15 were injured. Police said that, according to the preliminary investigation, the driver was not in his normal state of health and that the incident was not considered intentional.
