PUERTO BARRIOS, IZABAL, GUATEMALA – OCTOBER 20, 2026 Two women were killed in a serious traffic accident involving a truck, a passenger car, and a motorcycle. The victims, who were an aunt and her niece, were riding the motorcycle when the collision occurred near the entrance to the city. The impact had fatal consequences for both women. Their bodies were so severely devastated in the crash that they died at the scene from catastrophic injuries.

According to some local media outlets, the victims were identified as María Cervantes, 46, and Darlin Ramírez Cervantes, 16. According to a witness’s preliminary statement, the truck may have struck the passenger car while exiting a property, causing the car to veer off course and collide with the motorcycle.
