Car wash worker assassinated by group of hitmen

GUATEMALA CITY, GUATEMALA – MARCH 11, 2026 21-year-old car wash employee became the target of an armed attack by four hitmen. While two of them secured the getaway motorcycles, the other two fired more than 15 shots at him. The incident took place at the intersection of 18th Avenue and 2nd Street in Zone 1.

Firefighters were the first to arrive at the scene and could only confirm his death due to the extent of his injuries. The victim was identified as Wilson Guillermo Peinado Ajau. The motive remains unknown.
