RECIFE, PERNAMBUCO, BRAZIL Completely charred human body was found in a wooded area of the city. The gruesome discovery was reported to police by local residents who came across it by chance. Responding officers secured the scene and began an investigation together with forensic experts.
Due to the extensive burning, it has not yet been possible to determine the victim’s identity. Investigators believe the body was transported to the location after death and then set on fire to make identification more difficult and destroy evidence.
After the scene examination was completed, the body was taken to the Institute of Forensic Medicine, where further examinations will be carried out. Police are now working to establish the victim’s identity, the circumstances of the death, and to identify and arrest those responsible for the crime.
