Cocaine smuggler collapses as capsule bursts in his stomach

ISTANBUL, TURKEY – SEPTEMBER 17, 2021 Tragic event took place at Istanbul Airport, shocking many. Zambrano Xavier Fernando Loor, a 45-year-old Ecuadorian citizen, was traveling from Madrid to Quito with a layover in Istanbul. The man chose a very risky method of drug transportation – swallowing capsules of cocaine, which he had stored in his stomach.

During the journey, his condition began to deteriorate. As shown in the video found below the article, he appeared confused and had difficulty passing through the turnstile. Eventually, he collapsed and sustained a head injury from the fall, causing blood to begin flowing from his wound. Medical personnel were immediately called, and the man was transported to the hospital. Unfortunately, despite the doctors’ best efforts, the man did not survive his injuries.

An autopsy revealed that 400 grams of cocaine were hidden in his body, divided into several capsules. Two of them had burst and caused fatal poisoning. This case highlights the extreme risks associated with this form of drug smuggling.

Similar incidents are not isolated. For example, in November 2021, a Congolese drug smuggler died under similar circumstances at the same airport. Despite strict airport controls, smugglers continue to resort to these dangerous methods, underscoring the need for constant improvements in security measures and international cooperation.

The video below the article provides a chilling insight into the last moments of this man’s life and shows the great risk he took. This tragedy should serve as a warning to others considering similar paths for quick profit.
