HO CHI MINH CITY, VIETNAM – OCTOBER 2, 2026 42-year-old Trương Minh Tâm died while working on the reconstruction of D7 Road in the Thuận Giao residential area. Trương Minh Tâm, who worked as a temporary laborer, was using a blower to remove dust from the road surface when he was struck from behind by a road roller driven by 25-year-old Phạm Huy Thanh. Tâm fell onto the road after the impact, and the roller subsequently ran over and crushed him.
Other workers immediately rushed to the scene and tried to warn the driver to stop. However, Trương Minh Tâm suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. Police cordoned off the accident site, questioned witnesses, and secured security camera footage. The exact circumstances and any potential liability for the fatal workplace accident remain under investigation.
