PERU Young couple, identified only as 29-year-old Kevin and 24-year-old Lila, were shot while riding their motorcycle. As they rode along an unpaved road, they were surprised by gunmen on two other motorcycles who opened fire.

Lila was shot once in the neck and twice in the upper chest. Kevin was shot six times in various places on his body. Both were dead at the scene.
Although the gunmen were never caught and thus their motive was never officially confirmed, police believe the murder is related to Kevin’s criminal history. Lila’s criminal history was completely clean, having worked as a secretary in the municipal office all her life. She had only known Kevin for a short time, so it’s safe to assume she was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. The bullets probably weren’t meant for her.
