MARACAIBO, ZULIA, VENEZUELA – APRIL 13, 2016 When 11 prisoners escaped from the prison through a hole in the bathroom on 13 April 2016, 28-year-old José Gregorio Pacheco Ríos was among them. He was convicted of murder, robbery and extortion. But his joy at escaping didn’t last long. The same day he was found executed in a San Francisco neighborhood. Someone had tied his hands behind his back and cut off his head, which was found in a garbage bag not far from his body. Residents of the neighborhood said they only heard some motorcycles leaving the scene, but saw nothing.
