The photos show a little girl suffering from a very rare deformity called Diprosopus. This Latin word can be translated as two faces. This deformity is caused by the incomplete separation of two embryos. Most people affected by this deformity are stillborn. Others don’t live more than a few hours. This little girl probably survived a little longer. But you can’t say she was lucky.
