MANAGUA, NICARAGUA – JANUARY 15, 2025 In the El Novillo area of the Mercado Oriental market, 67-year-old Alejandro Salinas Manzanares died under the wheels of a truck. Heavily intoxicated with alcohol, he fell headfirst under its wheels just as the truck was moving. His head was crushed and even his brain popped out.
The truck driver, 66-year-old Reynaldo Llanes, was supplying the market with fresh bananas. He was absolutely shocked by it all. He went to the police to give a statement and was then released. He will probably not be investigated and the case will be closed as an accident.
