PARINTINS, BRAZIL – OCTOBER 26, 2024 Two young women, 18-year-old Ananda Souza and 19-year-old Evelyn Tavares, were traveling together on the same motorcycle, with the younger of the two driving. In the Paulo Corrêa neighbourhood, the female motorcycle driver was forced to take an emergency evasive manoeuvre, which she failed to do and crashed her motorcycle into a pole.

The impact was fatal for both women. The younger Ananda Souza was killed on the spot and Evelyn Tavares was transported in critical condition to hospital. There, unfortunately, she lost her fight for life.
The crash was filmed on CCTV. The aftermath was filmed by a witness to the incident. You can see that everyone thought both women were dead because everyone was just watching and no one was giving first aid.
