SANTA ROSALÍA, BOLÍVAR, VENEZUELA – AUGUST 21, 2025 Man, heavily under the influence of alcohol, got on his motorcycle and set off on the road. This decision is likely one he will regret for the rest of his life.
His intoxication caused him to overestimate his abilities, lose control of the vehicle, and crash. A ruptured fuel tank and sparks caused the motorcycle and the man to catch fire. He suffered third-degree burns across the entire lower half of his body.
The victim was taken to the Caicara del Orinoco outpatient clinic. Updates on his condition are not available, but it is highly likely that if he survived, doctors had to resort to amputating both lower limbs.
This tragic incident serves as a serious reminder: never ride a motorcycle or drive any vehicle under the influence of alcohol. Impaired judgment and slowed reflexes drastically increase the risk of life-threatening accidents – not only endangering yourself but also others on the road.
