PORT ARANSAS, TEXAS, USA – MARCH 14, 2026 22-year-old student was spending his spring break at a Texas resort on Mustang Island. While traveling with friends in a Jeep Wrangler, he climbed through the sunroof onto the roof of the vehicle, where he began dancing while in motion. At that moment, however, the vehicle collided with a Tesla. He was ejected onto the road, where he landed directly on his head.
Victim was transported to a Corpus Christi hospital in critical condition with severe head trauma. According to the latest updates, his medical condition remains serious. The driver of the Jeep, 24-year-old Riley Rhoades, was detained at the scene and charged with Intoxication Assault. Breathalyzer tests showed BAC levels of 0.14 and 0.12 (in the state of Texas, the legal limit is 0.08).
The video of the accident went viral across nearly all social networks. It carries the message that alcohol and recklessness behind the wheel are never a good idea, as is the irresponsible behavior people often tend to resort to while on spring break or vacation. Psychologists use the term ‘Holiday Personality Syndrome’ for this.
