SAHAGÚN, CÓRDOBA, COLOMBIA – FEBRUARY 16, 2025 Serious motorcycle accident occurred in the Ranchería district, claiming one life. The other person was seriously injured.
Two young men identified as José Gregorio Esquivia Guerra and Javier Oyola Méndez were working as debt collectors. They rode together on a motorcycle and sped through the city. But at a curve, the motorcycle driver failed to control the steering and crashed into a metal guardrail.
José suffered a fatal head injury. The impact literally blew his lower jaw off and damaged his brain. He was killed instantly.

Javier suffered extremely serious injuries and was transported in critical condition to San Juan de Sahagún Hospital, where doctors are currently still fighting for his life.
