Elderly woman failed to exercise enough caution while crossing the road and stepped directly into the path of a speeding vehicle. The driver had no time to react and struck her before fleeing the scene. She was pronounced dead at the scene. A passerby captured the gruesome aftermath on video, showing the woman’s crushed body lying on the asphalt. Her condition suggests that at least one other vehicle may have run over her afterward.
