PHƯỚC BÌNH, ĐỒNG NAI, VIETNAM – AUGUST 18, 2026 Old pressurized container exploded at a facility in the Phước Bình district. A 29-year-old worker, Tran Quang Trung, who was inspecting and repairing the equipment at the time, was killed in the accident.

The facility specialized in purchasing old pressurized containers, repairing them, and then reselling them. During the work, Tran climbed up to one of the containers, which suddenly exploded. The force of the blast threw him to the ground, causing fatal injuries.
Police subsequently arrived at the scene and, together with other emergency services, examined the site and began investigating the exact cause of the explosion. Authorities are also examining the circumstances of the accident and the safety conditions at the facility.
