Execution of Riad Kateh Aliwi

ANBAR, IRAQ – MARCH 27, 2005 Riad Kateh Aliwi was a liaison officer for the Iraqi Ministry of Interior, assisting US forces operating in Iraq. He was kidnapped by the terrorist group Al-Qaeda in Iraq in February 2005 and executed on 27 March of that year. The terrorists videotaped his execution in order to deter other senior civil servants from cooperating with the Americans.
