LA GUAJIRA, COLOMBIA In the rural area of Uribia in the Colombian region of La Guajira, footage appeared showing armed men executing a suspected Venezuelan criminal. The victim was Luigi José Navas Vilches, also known by the nickname “Luiggi Nava.” According to available information, he was allegedly linked to the Venezuelan criminal environment and a group known as “El Oso,” which operates in the state of Zulia and is associated with various serious crimes, including extortion, kidnappings, contract killings, and drug and arms trafficking.
The attackers in the video claimed they were acting on the orders of a man nicknamed “El Bendito Menor,” who is wanted by Colombian authorities, which are offering a reward for his capture. The case is part of a broader investigation into the activities of organized criminal groups in the border area between Colombia and Venezuela, where conflicts between rival gangs often occur. Authorities are also investigating possible links between the victim and other individuals to earlier violent incidents in the region, including the Maicao massacre.
