MARCELÂNDIA, MATO GROSSO, BRAZIL – MAY 17, 2026 Violent incident occurred outside a bar that ended in the death of 30-year-old Werner Xavier de Moura Reske. The entire attack was captured by a security camera.
According to the footage and police information, Werner was sitting at a table with other men when a dispute broke out between them. After a brief verbal argument, he stood up and approached the man who later attacked him, who is said to be a suspect whose identity has not been officially released.
During the conflict, the attacker pulled out a knife and stabbed Werner in the neck. Despite his serious injury, the victim attempted to run back into the bar seeking help, but shortly afterwards collapsed and died before emergency services arrived.
Police are still searching for the attacker, while a man suspected of helping him escape the scene has been detained. The motive for the argument and the attack itself is under investigation.
