Female gas station employee assassinated at work

AGRESTINA, PERNAMBUCO, BRAZIL – NOVEMBER 16, 2025 Twenty-eight-year-old Emiliane Verissimo was brutally murdered at work at the gas station where she was employed as an attendant. CCTV captured the moment a white vehicle pulled up to her. The man inside opened fire without hesitation. After she fell dead to the ground, he got out of the car to finish her off and make sure she was truly dead, then fled the scene.

The main suspect in the murder became her former partner, thirty-eight-year-old Flavio Coelho. Threatening WhatsApp messages were found on her phone. From their context, it was clear that he could not cope with the breakup. The suspicion was later confirmed when Flavio was found in the same car outside the city with a gunshot wound to the head.
