MACAU, RIO GRANDE DO NORTE, BRAZIL – FEBRUARY 16, 2015 Brena Keyla da Cunha Silva, 23, the mother of a young boy, disappeared without a trace from her home. Her body was found the next day with no signs of life. She had a strangulation wound on her neck and a gunshot wound to the head.

The main suspect immediately became her boyfriend, 27-year-old Raphael Breno Ribeiro. He confessed to the crime. He testified that he murdered his girlfriend by hanging her and hitting her in the head with a helmet. He then shot her in the head to make sure she was dead. His reason was that she confessed to him that she was having an affair with another man.
