CALIFORNIA, USA, 2026 In the San Diego Bay area in California, a body of a man was found in the water near Embarcadero Pier. The discovery was made by fishermen who noticed a human body floating in the bay near the waterfront promenade. According to initial estimates, it may have been in the water for approximately one to two days before it was found.
Police officers from the Harbor Police and emergency services were called to the scene, recovered the body from the water, and handed it over to the coroner’s office for identification and autopsy. At this stage, the identity of the deceased and the exact cause of death have not been released.
Similar cases are not entirely uncommon in the San Diego area, as the harbor part of the city is heavily visited and at the same time it is an open water area with currents that can carry bodies to different locations in the bay. Investigators therefore usually work with several possible versions of events, including an accident, a medical collapse, or suicide, until forensic examination results are available.
