SOBRAL, CEARÁ, BRAZIL – MARCH 30, 2026 Jordao neighborhood was shaken by gunfire as a man identified as Evaldo Galberto Soares was driving by. He was ambushed by several individuals who mercilessly assassinated him before he had any chance to react. Later, a video appeared online, posted by the attackers themselves. It shows them finishing him off with several shots to the head while he lies helplessly on the ground.
During the attack, a second person was also injured, likely by a stray bullet. They were taken to the hospital in critical condition. As it later turned out, Evaldo was a gang member, which was probably the main motive behind the shooting.
