SANTO DOMINGO NORTE, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC – FEBRUARY 23, 2025 30-year-old Juan Carlos González Patiño and his friend Maicol Beltré, known by the nickname “Mini Mini,” were playing a billiards tournament together. They placed a fairly high bet of 25,000 Dominican pesos (approximately 423 USD).
Juan, who lost, refused to pay the agreed amount. A heated argument broke out, which escalated into his murder.
An enraged Maicol grabbed Juan’s gun and cold-bloodedly shot him dead with three shots in the street outside the bar. He then fled the scene and has been successfully hiding from the police to this day.
