KURIPAN KIDUL, CENTRAL JAVA, INDONESIA – MARCH 23, 2026 Fun with pyrotechnics ended in tragedy for three teenagers. During careless handling of fireworks, a large explosion occurred, which seriously injured all three. Two of them suffered such extensive damage to their hands that they will have permanent consequences. The investigation showed that their fireworks were homemade and particularly powerful.
Every year, tens to hundreds of thousands of people are injured during careless handling of pyrotechnics. The best way to protect life and health is to avoid pyrotechnics completely. If you do want to use them, always buy only certified products, follow the expiration date, and always follow the included instructions.
