SAMSUN, TURKEY – MAY 11, 2026 Fifty-year-old Hatun Kabadayı had just gotten off a minibus that had dropped her off across from the factory where she worked. However, she never started her shift. While attempting to cross the road, she was hit by a speeding car. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

When her family learned about the accident, her husband and son immediately arrived at the scene. Both were unable to hold back strong emotions when they saw their loved one lifeless with no possibility of help. While the husband cried heavily, the son was more aggressive and wanted to attack the driver of the car.
The results of the police investigation are not yet known, and it is not officially clear who was responsible for the accident. The police are prosecuting the driver for negligent manslaughter.
