KERALA, INDIA Joyful dance performance turned tragic when one of the performers, a 46-year-old man, suffered a heart attack on stage. He collapsed instantly and stopped moving. Emergency responders pronounced him dead upon arrival.
The video shows other dancers trying to carry him away to keep him out of the audience’s view. However, this is a very poor first response. In a life-threatening situation, every second counts. The correct action is to call emergency services immediately and begin CPR to maintain oxygen flow to the brain.
