BOGOTÁ, COLOMBIA – OCTOBER 28, 2025 Hitmen’s operation in the Holanda neighborhood of the Bosa district triggered an immediate response from patrolling police officers. The gunmen arrived at the scene on a motorcycle, and one of them shot and killed his target with several rounds. But before he could get back on the getaway motorcycle, police opened fire on him. He was hit and died shortly afterward.
His accomplice, the motorcycle’s driver, panicked when the police intervened and fell off the bike. He tried to flee on foot but was eventually apprehended by the officers. During his escape attempt, he sustained moderate injuries.
According to available information, a third accomplice – a woman – was also arrested at the scene. Her apparent role was to linger nearby, pretending to be a random passerby, while documenting the situation and reporting on the target’s movements.
One of the police officers was hit by a bullet during the brief exchange of gunfire and suffered minor injuries. He was transported to a hospital for treatment and later released.
The investigation continues to determine the motive behind the attack and whether it was an act of personal revenge or linked to organized criminal groups operating in the area. Authorities continue to monitor the neighborhood while collecting testimonies and evidence that could help identify all individuals involved in yet another violent incident in southern Bogotá.
