ISIS terrorist assassinated Syrian soldier

AL-RAI, SYRIA – APRIL 28, 2026 Two terrorists claiming allegiance to the notorious ISIS carried out an armed attack on a Syrian soldier standing at a roadside checkpoint. They arrived on a motorcycle and opened fire before the soldier had any chance to react.

Although ISIS is long past its peak of power and expansion, similar attacks still happen from time to time. However, these are not organized operations, but rather lone-wolf style attacks carried out by individuals from sleeper cells.
