ARAGUAÍNA, TOCANTINS, BRAZIL – JANUARY 21, 2024 It had only been 5 days since the couple divorced. Kelly Diniz da Silva went to the home of her ex-husband, 29-year-old Romário Pereira da Silva, in the Maracanã district to pick up some personal belongings. Although she had let him know in advance that she was coming to see him, he didn’t have time for her messages because he was busy with activities with his new girlfriend, 24 year old Geovanna Victoria Moreira da Silva. When Kelly walked in and saw him with his new girlfriend, it stirred up huge feelings of jealousy and anger in her.
In a fit of rage, Kelly grabbed a knife and began stabbing her ex-husband furiously with it in front of his new girlfriend. Geovanna tried to run away, but Kelly caught up with her and began stabbing her furiously as well.
Both with extremely serious injuries, they managed to crawl to the street to seek help. Geovanna didn’t make it and died in the street. Romário was taken to hospital in a critical condition.
Kelly made no attempt to flee the scene. It wasn’t until her anger subsided that she became fully aware of what she had done and had a mental breakdown. The police arrested her at the scene.
