VIETNAM A little Vietnamese girl had a very sad fate. She was a victim of the organ trade, which is flourishing in Vietnam, thanks to the demand on the Chinese market. The cost of buying one from Vietnam is around USD 1 000 to USD 3 000, whereas in China, organs can be worth up to 10 times more. This prospect of easy profit attracts many fraudsters who lure young Vietnamese women to China, where they are murdered. It is not uncommon for parents to sell their own child in this way. They are usually told that a rich Chinese family will take their child and give them a better future. That could very well be this case.
