BALSAS, MARANHÃO, BRAZIL – SEPTEMBER 26, 2025 On Rua 2, in the Jocy Barbosa neighborhood, a man identified as Cristiano was murdered. Several armed men arrived at his house, calling for his brother. When it became clear his brother was not home, Cristiano came outside to see what was happening, and the assailants opened fire.

Cristiano’s girlfriend witnessed the entire incident and immediately called an ambulance while attempting first aid. Tragically, he died in her arms before the ambulance could arrive. The police have launched an intensive investigation to determine the motive for the murder and identify the shooters.
