SANTA BÁRBARA D’OESTE, BRAZIL – JANUARY 22, 2023 25-year-old Rafaela Cristina Barroso da Silva was stabbed by her 22-year-old husband João Vitor. He then filmed her in a pool of blood on his mobile phone, got into his car and drove away from the scene of the crime. Rafaela was taken to hospital in critical condition, where she succumbed to her injuries.

During the investigation, Rafaela’s brother said that the couple often argued because her husband was extremely jealous. They had been together for a year and a half and had been fighting since day one. They had a 10-month-old daughter together. The brother said that after he was born, fights became even more frequent.
