Henao Farías was in the vehicle near the Tucán residential complex when an armed man approached him on foot and shot him several times. The attacker then fled the scene. Three shell casings were found at the scene, and police are investigating the case.
According to authorities, Henao Farías had four criminal records, including cases related to drug trafficking and domestic violence. Investigators are examining whether his past was connected to the motive for the murder.
One of the main lines of investigation is that the killing may have been related to a dispute between the criminal groups Los Costeños and Los del Freseo over control of illegal revenues. Police are also investigating whether the shooting was retaliation targeting his brother Raúl Henao Farías, known as “Choco,” who survived a shooting in Puerto Colombia in 2025. However, neither the motive nor the perpetrator has been officially confirmed.
