MATHURA, UTTAR PRADESH, INDIA – AUGUST 31, 2026 38-year-old junior engineer Vikrant Bharti was hit by a car in the Masani area following an argument over a traffic collision. When he got out of his vehicle to confront the driver after the driver rear-ended him, the driver, Deepak Sharma, allegedly started the vehicle again, struck Bharti, and then dragged him several feet underneath the car, according to police.
Vikrant Bharti suffered serious injuries, including fractures to his spine and hip, and was taken to a hospital. Police later arrested Deepak Sharma and are investigating the case as an attempted murder.
