FORTALEZA, BRAZIL – JANUARY 27, 2018 In the Cajazeiras neighbourhood, an armed attack took place on the nightclub “Forró do Gago”, full of young people who had gone there to have fun. A group of gunmen stormed in and started shooting people indiscriminately. Fourteen people were killed and 15 others were injured.
The police accused a total of 15 people belonging to a local criminal organisation of the attack. It turned out that the motive for the attack was to take over territory belonging to a rival faction. Everyone who died was innocent.
