MONTES CLAROS, BRAZIL – APRIL 13, 2020 A 25-year-old woman was arrested after a video of her torturing her daughter with an extension cord went viral. The video was filmed by her ex-husband, who was also arrested for standing by without intervening.
The arrested woman said she resorted to violent behaviour because her daughter was playing with condoms she found at home. She further stated that her ex-husband forced her to abuse her daughter. But he defended himself, saying that he only made the video so that he could blackmail his wife into returning to him. He was said to have been in the house by chance when he was just delivering milk to the family.
In addition to hitting her daughter with the extension cord, the woman also slapped her daughter, and hit her head with her fist. She was bleeding from her mouth and nose.
