Motorcycle burns after crash, driver dead, passenger badly injured

JALAPA, NUEVA SEGOVIA, NICARAGUA – JULY 21, 2025 Tragic accident occurred at kilometer 303 on the road toward the National Institute of Agricultural Technology (INTA) in Jalapa. The motorcycle driver, approximately 30-year-old Gordon Marquelimo Martín, lost control of his motorcycle for unknown reasons and crashed into a wall. The motorcycle caught fire after the impact.

Driver died at the scene. Passenger, identified as 25-year-old Julio Alfaro Hernández, suffered third-degree burns and was transported in critical condition to Pastor Jiménez Hospital. His condition remains serious.
