BARRA VIEJA, GUERRERO, MEXICO – JANUARY, 2019 Dr. Sheily was murdered by armed men as she was getting into her car in front of a restaurant in the town of Barra Vieja. Jaime Jiménez Silva from the medical association stated that the doctor may have been targeted by extortionists. According to him, doctors are the second most common targets of extortion in Mexico, right after business owners.
