TECÁMAC, ESTADO DE MÉXICO, MEXICO – JANUARY 29, 2019 At the corner of Pino Suárez Street, near the Héroes Sexta Sección neighborhood, the lifeless body of a woman was discovered. The victim was found completely naked and exhibited numerous signs of brutal physical and sexual violence. According to the investigators’ initial findings, the woman was likely attacked and subsequently struck or run over by a vehicle.
The situation at the crime scene was complicated by the fact that a work uniform commonly worn by toll booth (casetas) employees was found in close proximity to the victim, suggesting she may have been a woman returning from or heading to work. However, the tragedy has an even broader scope – at the same time and in the same area, the murder of two police officers was also reported, raising questions about whether these bloody incidents are directly related.
